SAFETY TIPS FOR GENERATOR GDT7

• The person operating the GENERATOR GDT7 must have the knowledge of stopping the GENERATOR GDT7 in the case of crisis.
• Exhaust contains carbon monoxide which is toxic. Inhaling the exhaust can cause loss of consciousness and may lead to death.
• The generator produces sufficient electric power to cause a stern shock or electrocution if misused.

 OPERATIONAL INSTRUCTIONS FOR GENERATOR GDT7
When you initializing the engine:

• Make certain that the AC circuit is on the OFF position.
• Turn the fuel valve lever to the ON position.
• Turn the choke lever to the CLOSED position.
• Turn the engine switch to the ON position.
• Pull the starter grip lightly until resistance is felt, then pull briskly.

 When stopping the engine:

• Turn the AC circuit breaker to the OFF position.
• Turn the engine switch to the OFF position.
• Turn the fuel valve lever to the OFF position.

 MAINTAINENCE TIPS FOR GENERATORS

• Never run the GENERATORS without the air filter because the rapid engine will wear as a result.
• The engine oil must be checked before usage of the GENERATOR GDT7.
• The engine oil must be changed every six months.
• The air filter must be checked before usage of the GENERATOR GDT7.
• The air filter must be cleaned/serviced after every three months when used in dusty areas.
• The air filter paper element must be replaced after every 12 months.
• The sediment cup must be cleaned after every 6 months.
• The spark plug must be replaced after every 12 months.

TESTING THE GENERATOR GDT7
The GENERATOR GDT7 must be clean and have a service tag to ensure that the workshop completed the standard service before returning the asset to the floor.
The GENERATOR GDT7 must be taken to the testing station applicable where you will test it in front of the customer whilst demonstrating the operation of the GENERATOR GDT7 to the customer.
Ensure that the required safety attire is worn, the operation instructions have been read to the customer and that the customer is in a safe location before testing the GENERATOR GDT7.
After this has been done, the customer must sign that he/she has received training.
